De Berckt campsite is a paradise for children. They will feel like a true knight or maiden, due to the theme of the park. There is a large castle where they can play, climb and clamber with the friends they have made on holiday. There is also a subtropical leisure pool at this Dutch campsite, which is designed like a medieval castle with a dragon water slide, boat, whirlpool, rapids and toddlers' pool. Even those who don't like water can have a great day here! Please note – the opening hours of the leisure pool vary. During the holidays, including public holidays such as Easter, it is open. Outside of holiday dates it is only open at the weekend.
In addition to the spectacular swimming pool, the campsite offers great entertainment. Adults and children alike can enjoy the diverse range of activities, such as shows, bingo, live music, games, theatre and a children's disco.
There is a supermarket where you can do your shopping. You can also eat at the Drakennest restaurant. From 2016, the whole campsite will also have WiFi. It really is a great place to camp! All guests at Oostappen Holiday Park De Berckt can also use the beach pool at Holiday Park Elfenmeer free of charge.
At this campsite you are in the beautiful province of Limburg, where it is hilly and you have the opportunity to connect with nature. The campsite is located by the river Maas. As well as the various nature reserves in the area, there is also a lot to experience in the town of Baarlo itself. Places of interest include: De Berckt Castle, d’Erp Castle, De Raay Castle, Huis Oyen, the Maas dam, the monastery village of Steijl and the botanical gardens at Jochumhof. Places to shop in the area include: Roermond, Venlo, Valkenburg and Heerlen. There are also a number of amusement parks in the area. If that isn’t a good holiday, we don’t know what is!
