This campsite in Tuscany is the perfect choice for campers of all ages. It boasts a new, modern swimming pool with children's section and an enthusiastic entertainment team for children who prefer to stay on dry land. Why not challenge your fellow campers to a game of tennis, table tennis, football, volleyball, minigolf or jeu de boules, then head to the bar afterwards for a refreshing drink.
You will no doubt want to head out and explore during your holiday at campsite La Principa, and there is plenty to see. A drive of just a few minutes away is the beautiful Tuscan nature reserve of Parco della Maremma, situated between Piombino and the Orbetello peninsula. This extensive park, most of which was once marshland, is home to real cowboys - the butteri. It's perfect for cycling around and canoeing. For those who prefer to walk, a good hike is also a great way to discover this area of Tuscany, and evenings are the perfect time to spot animals.
A few kilometres farther in land you will find Grosseto, the largest town in the area. The walled old town is delightful, and packed with nice shops and eateries. The coast here is stunning, and peppered with rocky and sandy beaches. Just off the coast you will find Elba, the island to which Napoleon was exiled. A regular ferry service operates to the island from Piombino.
After an exciting day out, La Principa will be pleased to welcome you back and if you're feeling peckish, you can pick something up at the campsite's minimarket, which offers regional foods, or head to the take-away or restaurant.
The open-air cinema is the perfect place to round off a busy day.
Campsite La Principa will make sure that everyone has the time of their life!
